- Slightly shake the watch to activate the rotor
- The watch will start running automatically when worn
Restarting after a pause
If the watch has stopped after not being worn:
- Rewind using the same method
- The NH35 has a 41-hour power reserve
- No need to overwind
- Wind gently until you feel slight resistance

How to set the time and the date
The NH35 movement features a quick-set date and a stop-second function for accurate time adjustment. Follow these steps carefully:
1. Set the Date:
– Pull the crown to the first click
– Turn it clockwise to change the date
– ⚠️ Never set the date between 8 PM and 4 AM — this could damage the mechanism
2. Set the Time:
– Pull the crown to the second click
– The seconds hand stops (hacking) for precision
– Turn the crown clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the time
– Push the crown back once done
3. Preserve Water Resistance:
– If your watch has a screw-down crown, always push and screw it back in to ensure proper sealing

Wearing and caring for your watch daily
The Seiko Mod Datejust with NH35 is designed to accompany you through everyday life. Here’s how to use and care for it properly:
– Self-winding:
Your watch charges itself with every wrist movement. Daily wear keeps it running smoothly.
– Power reserve:
Once fully wound, it runs for about 41 hours even when not worn.
– Restarting after a break:
If unused for a day or two, simply wind the crown clockwise 20–30 times to start it again.
– Avoid magnetic fields:
Strong magnets can affect timekeeping. Keep your watch away from speakers, chargers, etc.
– Water resistance:
Suitable for daily splashes or rain. Unless your model is rated, do not shower or swim with it. Always screw the crown back in after adjustments.
– After exposure to sweat, salt or dust:
Rinse gently with fresh water and wipe dry with a soft cloth.

Adjusting your bracelet size
Each Chrono Mod watch includes a precision screwdriver to help you adjust the bracelet to your wrist.
To remove a link, carefully unscrew the pin located on the side of the bracelet. Once the desired number of links is removed, reinsert and tighten the screw securely.
Always remove one link at a time on each side of the clasp for optimal balance and fit.

Quick-extension for daily comfort
Selected models feature a quick-extension link hidden within the clasp. This system lets you instantly extend the bracelet by approximately 5 mm — perfect for warmer days or subtle wrist adjustments.
The extension folds and unfolds with a smooth, tool-free mechanism, giving you flexibility and comfort without compromising on style.
