Odyssey Rubber Watch Strap 21mm, 10 Colors, Steel Deployant Clasp
Lug width: 21 mm, tapering to 18 mm at the clasp · Material: matte vulcanised rubber · Fits: Chrono Mod Odyssey, and any watch with 21 mm straight lugs
DESCRIPTION
The Odyssey measures 21 mm between the lugs. The strap trade works in even numbers, so 18, 20 and 22 are everywhere and 21 is almost nowhere. That is the whole reason this page exists: a rubber strap actually cut to 21 mm, with a steel fold-over clasp, made for one watch.
Will it fit my watch?
Yes: the Chrono Mod Odyssey, and any other watch with 21 mm straight lugs.
No: Classic Date, GMT, DeptMaster and Modena are all 20 mm and have their own straps. Horizon and Apex take a case-specific integrated strap listed under their own name.

Straight ends, no end links to lose
Both ends are plain rubber, cut straight across, each with a moulded channel that seats the spring bar and two small notches where its tips come through. Nothing bolted on, nothing to lose in a drawer, nothing that only fits one case shape. Push the tips in, drop the strap between the lugs, let go. Two minutes a side with a spring bar tool, and the steel bracelet goes back on just as fast.
The clasp opens with one hand
A stainless steel fold-over deployant clasp, brushed on top with polished edges, closing over a two-prong blade. Press the sides and it opens, fold it back and it clicks. No pin to force through a hole, no punched holes to stretch and go oval after one summer, no tail flapping past a keeper. It also means the strap hinges open instead of coming apart, so the watch stays in one piece on the nightstand.
You cut it to your wrist, once
The underside is moulded with cut grooves along its whole length. Trim the long strand at a groove with a blade, one groove at a time, and stop when the clasp sits centred under your wrist. Go slowly: you can always take the next groove, you cannot put rubber back. The strap tapers from 21 mm at the lugs down to 18 mm at the clasp, so the line stays clean wherever you cut.
Rubber that does not shine
Matte vulcanised rubber with a raised grid running down the centre, framed by a smooth flat border on each edge. The grid is the part you feel: it breaks contact with the skin, so the strap does not stick on a hot day. The matte finish is the part you do not see: no gloss under office light, no greasy sheen in photos. Sweat, rain and sunscreen leave no mark, and it comes back to shape after a warm afternoon.
Ten colours, one clasp
Classic Black, White, Grey and Blue for the days the watch should stay quiet. Brown and Light Brown for a dressier read. Khaki, Green, Crimson Red and Orange for when quiet is not the point. Every one of them comes on the same brushed stainless steel deployant clasp, so they all sit the same way on the wrist.
Not sure which one?
Classic Black goes with everything and is the one people take first. Grey and Blue are the easy second. Brown warms up a steel case, Khaki is the one that reads best against a green or black dial, and White is the summer one. At this price most customers take two: one that disappears, one that gets noticed.

Fitting
Will it fit your watch?
A strap fits by its lug width: the gap between the two lugs, where the strap meets the case. Measure that gap once, and you'll know which strap works on your watch forever.
Chrono Mod lug widths
- 20 mm Classic Date 39 & 36 mm, DeptMaster, GMT, Modena
- 17 mm Classic Date 31 mm
- 21 mm Odyssey
- Integrated Horizon & Apex, case-specific strap
Not a Chrono Mod? Most straps here use standard spring bars and fit any watch with the same lug width. Quick-release versions fit by hand, no tools needed. For the others you need a spring-bar tool, the same one included in the box with every Chrono Mod watch.
How to measure your lug width
- 1 Turn the watch over and find the gap between the two lugs, where the strap meets the case.
- 2 Measure that gap in millimetres, with a ruler or a caliper. Round to the nearest millimetre.
- 3 Match it to the width listed in the specifications above, then pick your colour and finish.
- 4 Still unsure? Email team@chrono-mod.com with your model and we'll confirm before you order.

Build the watch to go with it
This strap was made to sit on a Chrono Mod. Start from any model and take it to the extreme:
Let's be clear
Parts we'd put on our own watches
An accessory is easy to get wrong: a millimetre off, a clasp that rattles, a finish that doesn't match. Everything we list here is chosen to live on a Chrono Mod, and checked before it reaches you.
Chosen, not badged
We don't rebrand whatever a catalogue sends us. Every strap here is picked, ordered and checked by us before it goes on the site.
Sized for our cases
Widths, clasps and finishes are matched to the models we build, so it sits flush against the case instead of almost right.
A real person behind it
Inspected before it ships. And if something is off when it arrives, you write to us and a human answers, often the founder himself.

Yes, the strap ships complete with the buckle or clasp shown in the photos. Where a finish is selectable, pick it above before adding to cart: it changes the buckle, not the strap colour.
